Week commencing Monday 10th Feb

As most of you are aware, DE Photos are coming to the gym to take some action shots of the children training. This was arranged as unfortunately at the Christmas display DE Photos experienced problems with their card machine, so lots of parents couldn't purchase any photographs. This will also allows parents across the whole academy to get some 'gymnastics' shots of their child/children. DE Photo are happy to take photos of siblings, friends (within the gym), groups, gymnast and coaches etc... please be aware though that the gym does get incredibly busy between 5pm and 7pm. If specific photos are required please consult your child's coach in advance.

The dates and times are listed below, the DE Photo representative will then return to the gym a week later with all the photographs taken, available to view and order.

**PLEASE NOTE! We are hoping to have a Women's Artistic GROUP photograph taken on Saturday 15th February at 12pm. The girls will need to be in their NAVY BLUE NOTTS leotard for this.** This is a large group photo and hopefully shouldn't take too much time, but as you can appreciate it's a lot to coordinate, so please be patient. If this is not your usual training time, please can you try and attend, please arrive 10 mins before.

This is a fundraising opportunity for the club too, as DE Photos will donate a percentage of the amount they earn back to the gym, so please can I urge all of you to have a browse through the photos and order as many as you can :) Not only will they be a great memento, they will be a lovely gift for Grandmas and Granddad's too!

If any parents are unhappy to have their child photographed or have any concerns then please get in touch with Kerry Hill (WA Committee chair).

Alicia Tucker will be handing out slips to pre-school parents this week.

The photos will be displayed at the top of the stairwell in the gym building.

DE are also planning on producing books which will be located at the main desk at the leisure centre for people to flick through.
Parents can request certain apparatus (if not inconvenient to running of the gym) and sheets will be available on the photo display boards for parents to fill in their gymnasts name, apparatus they would like and brief description.

If any of you do your shopping at Sainsbury's please collect the Active Vouchers that they offer at the till and bring them into the gym and hand them to your child's coach, Jemma or Mila. These can then go towards gaining new pre school equipment for free.

Nothing but praise has been given for the display this year. From Thriller to Peter Pan, the gymnasts enjoyed the performances as much as the audience! Thank you to all the coaches who put in time and effort, during training hours, to create and choreograph all the routines on Sunday.

The Chair of the Women's Artistic Fund-raising committee said,

"Well done to all of the gymnasts and coaches who gave us a really memorable Christmas display, which showcased all ages, abilities and disciplines at the Academy. Also thank you to every parent, friend and volunteer who helped on the day and in the run up to the event. The display was well received by the enthusiastic audience, who I am sure went away proud of every gymnast that took part!"
