Independent Parent Welfare Officer

I am mum to two boys, Ronnie and Sonny, who both love doing sport - Sonny is aikido and football mad and Ronnie loves aikido, swimming and gymnastics!

Having just left a twenty year career in marketing and communications I am now focusing my time on family and following a passion to increase equality and inclusion in education and sport. I am a trustee at Loughborough Students Union, an English tutor for Action Tutoring and now delighted to be a welfare officer for Notts Gymnastics Academy.

I am in the gym on a weekly basis with Ronnie and available for any welfare concerns that NGA gymnasts and parents may have through the Welfare email address.

Independent Parent Welfare Officer

I am mum to two boys, Oli and Tyler. – Oli has been mad about gymnastics since he was 7. He has been British Disability MAG Champion, and has won many medals at National disability competitions.  He has always trained alongside mainstream squad gymnasts, and is currently part of the MAG Senior squad.

I am a teacher by profession, but now run my own tutoring and parental support business specialising in children with Special educational needs and disabilities.

I have a level 1 General gymnastics coaching qualification and also the disability and MAG add-on. I have a special interest in the mental health of young people and how we can use sport to support this.

Due to current family commitments I’m not a regular visitor to the gym, as I live in Lincolnshire. Technology has really helped with this and I’m available via email, and can arrange a zoom call to discuss and any welfare concerns that NGA gymnasts and parents may have through the Welfare email address.

Welfare Administration Support

I am a trained welfare officer, an NGA full time employee primarily supporting the Business and administration functions and provide necessary administrative assistance to the Wellbeing and Welfare team.

Being a parent to 3 children, one of whom was part of the WAG squad for several years and is now at University, I have valuable experience understanding the sport and am available to support all our members as needed.
