Training Groups and Development Pathway

The flowchart below explains the groups and pathways within the Men's Artistic Squad.

Boys aged 4-7

1.5 hours per week

The aim of our Foundation group is to provide boys between the age of 4-7 the opportunity to develop fundamental gymnastics skills similar to what would be expected within a typical GFA session, however, with a specific focus on the physical preparation and progressions required for Men’s Artistic gymnastics.



Boys aged 5-7

4-9 hours per week

 The aim of the Develeopment group is to further progress levels of physical preperation, as well as introduce the fundamental movements and progressions on all 6 pieces of Men's Artistic apparatus. 


Club Pathway

Boys aged 8+

10-15 hour per week

The aim within our club pathway is to provide boys with the opportunity to compete at county and regional level competitions, and work towards the national Club Development grades. 


Elite Pathway

Boys aged 8+

14-30+ hours per week

 The aim within our elite programme is to provide gymnasts with the apportunity to compete at regional, national and international level competitions and challenge for selections onto home nation and GB national squads.
