Are you a visionary leader with a passion for gymnastics and a desire to inspire the next generation? Notts Gymnastics Academy (NGA), one of the UK’s largest gymnastics clubs, is seeking a dynamic Head of Gymnastics for All (GFA) to drive the growth and innovation of our programme, reaching over 1,000 participants weekly.

About the Role

As the Head of GFA at NGA, you will lead, innovate, and drive the growth of our GFA programme, fostering an inclusive, child-centred approach through sessions for pre-school, children and adults. This pivotal role combines strategic oversight and team leadership, aiming to increase community engagement and champion the Academy’s values. We are looking to expand and diversify our programs, from general gymnastics to competitive squads and disability classes. The Head of GFA will serve as a senior leader, directly influencing the future of mass-participation gymnastics, shaping GFA’s structure, and advocating for the positive social impact our sport brings.

You will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality improvement plan, designed to enhance the calibre of classes and overall experience for all GFA participants. This plan will set out clear standards, objectives, and benchmarks to consistently elevate the quality of sessions and ensure our programme meets the highest standards of delivery.

You will be instrumental in positioning NGA as both a community and performance leader, capitalising on our recently redeveloped facilities to inspire growth. This is an entrepreneurial role, with strategic accountability for GFA operations, budget management, and the delivery of top-quality service, while also promoting innovative, child-focused coaching practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute a forward-looking vision for GFA, driving programme growth by 50% over the next three years.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a growing team of 30+ coaches, ensuring excellence through robust training and mentoring.

Community Engagement: Build partnerships with local schools, businesses and community groups to expand the reach of GFA.

Operational Oversight: Manage the programme’s delivery, including scheduling, staffing, and quality assurance, with a focus on participant satisfaction and skill progression.

Financial Accountability: Oversee a programme budget of over £500k, ensuring financial sustainability alongside exceptional service.

We’re seeking a leader with:

· Proven experience in strategic leadership roles within sports, youth development, or community programmes.

· A track record of people management, including mentoring and developing teams.

· Strong financial acumen, with experience managing large budgets.

· A child-centred mindset, with a commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity.

While gymnastics experience is desirable, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are willing to obtain relevant qualifications with our support.

Why Join Us?

At NGA, you’ll have the freedom to innovate and shape the future of one of the UK’s largest GFA programmes. With access to state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive team, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through the power of sport.
