Are you a visionary leader with a passion for gymnastics and a desire to inspire the next generation? Notts Gymnastics Academy (NGA), one of the UK’s largest gymnastics clubs, is seeking a dynamic Head of Gymnastics for All (GFA) to drive the growth and innovation of our programme, reaching over 1,000 participants weekly.

About the Role

As the Head of GFA at NGA, you will lead, innovate, and drive the growth of our GFA programme, fostering an inclusive, child-centred approach through sessions for pre-school, children and adults. This pivotal role combines strategic oversight and team leadership, aiming to increase community engagement and champion the Academy’s values. We are looking to expand our and diversify our programs, from general gymnastics to competitive squads and disability classes. The Head of GFA will serve as a senior leader, directly influencing the future of mass-participation gymnastics, shaping GFA’s structure, and advocating for positive social impact.

You will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality improvement plan, designed to enhance the calibre of classes and overall experience for all GFA participants. This plan will set out clear standards, objectives, and benchmarks to consistently elevate the quality of sessions and ensure our programme meets the highest standards of delivery.

You will be instrumental in positioning NGA as both a community and performance leader, capitalising on our recently redeveloped facilities to inspire growth in our mass-participation programs. This is an entrepreneurial role, with strategic accountability for GFA operations, budget management, and the delivery of top-quality service, while also promoting innovative, child-focused coaching practices across the GFA discipline.

Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute a forward-looking vision for GFA, driving programme growth by 50% over the next three years.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a growing team of 30+ coaches, ensuring excellence through robust training and mentoring.

Community Engagement: Build partnerships with local schools, businesses and community groups to expand the reach of GFA.

Operational Oversight: Manage the programme’s delivery, including scheduling, staffing, and quality assurance, with a focus on participant satisfaction and skill progression.

Financial Accountability: Oversee a programme budget of over £500k, ensuring financial sustainability while delivering exceptional service.

We’re seeking a leader with:

· A proven experience in strategic leadership within sports, youth development, or community programmes.

· A track record of people management, including mentoring and developing teams.

· Strong financial acumen, with experience managing large programme budgets.

· A child-centred mindset, with a commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity.

While gymnastics experience is desirable, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are willing to gain relevant qualifications with NGA’s support.

About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Head Coach – Gymnastics for All (GFA) to support the Head of GFA in developing and delivering our thriving GFA programme. This role involves leading and mentoring our coaching team, ensuring engaging and progressive sessions, managing staff rotas, and overseeing key administrative tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the programme’s growth and help create inspiring gymnastics opportunities for all.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Leading and developing a growing team of 30+ coaches, ensuring excellence through robust training and mentoring.

· Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging gymnastics sessions across the GFA programme.

· Work with the Head of GFA to design and implement progressive class structures.

· Manage the Rainbow Awards programme and ensure appropriate competitive pathways.

· Mentor and support new and less experienced coaches through observations and feedback.

· Lead and coordinate the coaching team, ensuring programme goals and standards are met.

· Scheduling & Programme Management

· Organise staff rotas to ensure all sessions are adequately staffed.

· Monitor class attendance and work with the team to optimise class capacity.

· Support recruitment and onboarding of new participants, including taster sessions.

· Event Coordination

· Plan and deliver annual in-house GFA competitions, awards celebrations, and displays.

· Support the delivery of holiday programmes and club-wide events.

· Management & Administration

· Support the Head of GFA with the strategic development of the programme.

· Deputise for the Head of GFA as required, including chairing meetings.

· Assist with HR responsibilities, including managing timesheets, appraisals, and staff development.

· Ensure compliance with British Gymnastics policies, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements.

· Act as a key point of contact for gymnasts, parents, and coaches, handling queries professionally.

We’re seeking a leader with:

· Essential Qualifications & Experience:

· British Gymnastics Level 2 qualification in GFA or another gymnastics discipline.

· Full British Gymnastics membership.

· Safeguarding Children certification (UK Coaching).

· Experience in coaching and developing gymnasts of all ages and abilities.

· Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

· Desirable Qualifications:

· Additional qualifications in WAG, MAG, Pre-school, Acro, or Display.

· First Aid certification.

· People management experience.

· Personal Attributes

· Passionate about gymnastics with a child-centred coaching approach.

· Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.

· Approachable, supportive, and a team player.

· Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required.

Gymnastics Coaches (minimum Level 1)

Position:  Part-time Gymnastics Coach (minimum Level 1 General, MAG or WAG)

Hours:  Various Evening and Weekends

Salary: Varied depending on qualification

We are looking for enthusiastic, fun, engaging and approachable gymnastics coaches to join our excellent coaching team. We have vacancies for Level 1 and Level 2 qualfied coaches.  The suitable candidates will support our gymnastics programme.

You will contribute to delivering high-quality gymnastics sessions and events to enable our members to benefit from taking part in gymnastics. 

You will demonstrate good coaching practice in line with NGA and British Gymnastics codes of conduct

You will be enthusiastic, motivated, professional, and reliable. You must be able to work independently, use initiative, have a mature attitude, and be a team player

You will have excellent communication skills, both in your coaching and with our parents and staff

Requirements: 

Minimum BG level 1 General/WAG/MAG Gymnastics Coach  and/or Preschool qualified
DBS (support can be given with your online application; however, this must be received before coaching role commences)
Safeguarding training
First Aid qualification

Current British Gymnastics Membership
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
