GFA Rainbow Awards

We track the progress of gymnasts and reward their achievement of gymnastics skills via our Rainbow Awards scheme. Starting at the RED award (the levels are named after the colours of the rainbow), the levels become more challenging as each previous one is achieved.

We have identified the core skills needed in gymnastics and incorporated them into the levels to make sure that there is a progression of skills which link together and cover all the areas of gymnastics we cater for at NGA

We aim to give the children who take part a more rounded skill set, and more opportunities to challenge themselves. The new awards have a finer tuned progression pathway which leads to the development of full routines on each apparatus for their final award.

We will give all our GFA gymnasts the opportunity to take part in our Awards scheme. Each child will be provided with their own Awards tracker sheet which will stay with them throughout their membership (we will look after them!).

Customised certificates and medals are available on the successful completion of each award level. These are presented during Watch Weeks or as advertised on your Key Dates sheet. You do not need to purchase the medals and certificates. They are presented on completion of each award,
