Well done too Jodie Iveson, Elissa Neil-Dwyer, Amalie Rehouskova, Evie White, Matilda Larkin and Maisie Ash for passing there grade.

The girls started on Vault, each performed two vaults. All scoring over 12, a positive start to the competition.  Bars, Jodie, Matilda, Elissa and Maisie all performed clean routines with no falls, unfortunately both Evie and Amalie had a fall but got back up and continued their routine to the best of their ability. Next we moved onto Beam, regrettably we had a number of falls and tears on beam, with nerves running high and saw some low scores. The girls picked themselves back up to focus on their last piece and for many their favourite, Floor.  All girls performed well on floor with scores of 11 and over and no falls. Evie executed a newly learnt routine effortlessly performing solid skills throughout. As did Elissa and Jodie, Elissa showed off a beautiful routine. Maisie also performed a new routine with ease. Amalie and Matilda executed skills well with high scores and smiles all round.

All the girls did fantastically and are now looking forward to learning new skills and participating their next competition!!!

grades-13-14-2014

Amber Adebayo, Ellie Heard, Lucy Willis, Ruby Ince and Lucy Maxwell, all competed their first competition at regional grades. The girls nerves were running high but excitement higher. All the girls passed their grade with ease and performed excellent routines across all four pieces. Starting on Beam, each performed a new routine all skills performed well, a few wobbles but no falls an excellent start to the comp. Next we moved to Floor, they all performed their newly learnt routines effortlessly with little error, all gymnasts were happy with their performances as were the coaches. Range and Conditioning, this proved to be one of the tougher pieces for the girls, with little room for error here they all did excellently completing the entire routine. High in spirits we moved to Vault. All the girls performed two vaults, a couple of wobbles and falls but they all competed at least one solid vault. Lastly onto Bars , although this was our last piece the girls were still full of strength and each competed a beautiful bar routine.

A huge well done to each of the girls, onwards and upwards to the next competition!!!

GRADES13-14-2014-2

A big well done to Jessica Garment (16th overall) and Olivia Coventry (20tt overall) for passed their grade with a distinction. The competition started on Beam, both competed new routines well a few wobbles but no falls, a brilliant start. Floor, both very excited to compete, Jess performed a beautiful new routine with solid skills. Olivia’s routine was effortless with well executed skills throughout. Next we moved onto Range and Conditioning, the girls have worked tremendously hard towards this after struggles last year and they both competed close to perfect routines scoring 11.00 plus, securing their distinction. Well done!! Vault, despite some problems in training up until the week before both Jess and Olivia performed at least one solid vault. Finally the girls moved to Bars, the girls were feeling tired by this point however Olivia performed a good routine, a few minor errors otherwise well done. Jess also competed a solid routine with some errors. Unfortunately scores were not as high here.

The girls performed superbly and are looking forward to their competition.

Grades13-14-2014

Charlotte Simpson and Jessie Mitchell competed and passed an excellent competition. Charlotte Simpson passed with distinction and securing the all-round bronze medal. Starting on Beam the girls were extremely nervous, both girls have faced some struggles on this piece. Charlotte overcame many fears and performed a beautiful routine with no falls. Unfortunately Jessie’s nerves got the better of her, with 3 falls Jessie got back up every time and completed her routine well. The girls moved onto Floor next, nerves are settled by this point, both Jessie and Charlotte had newly learnt routines to perform. Jessie’s ballet inspired routine was performed with beauty and elegance, solid skills and just a few points off 12.00. Charlotte also performed a near to flawless routine scoring over 12.00. Well done girls! Girls feeling better from their floor performance, they moved onto Range and Conditioning. They both competed good routines with minor errors. Vault, Charlotte and Jessie competed two solid vaults, no problem. Lastly we moved to bars, once solid performances from the girls. Charlotte competed a strong routine with small errors. Jessie had a minor slip on her dismount but managed to pull it back out and complete the routine.

Both Jessie and Charlotte performed brilliantly and now worked towards their next competition. Well done!
