Below are some important messages regarding closures for the Dec 16 – Feb 17 block.
Festive spirit
During the last week of term (starting Monday 19th December) the Academy will be getting into the festive spirit, so feel free to bring your Christmas jumpers/ t-shirts, tinsel in their hair or anything else you can come up with (that they train in safely)!
December 2016 closures
Christmas display – 17th and 18th Dec
There will be no Gfa sessions running over the weekend of the 17/18th December 2016. The Academy will be holding its annual Christmas display on the Saturday, tickets may still be available via our website. Fees for the December block were reduced to accommodate this closure.
Christmas break – 24th Dec to 4th Jan
NGA will break up for Christmas on Saturday 24th December 2016 and re-open for training from Wednesday 4th January 2017. Gfa sessions will run as usual up to and including the 24th with the exceptions of Gfa Acro (a separate message has been circulated to you).
January 2017 closures
Leisure centre closure – Entering the gym
Between 4th – 8th January 2017, access to the Academy will be via the outside steps/ pathway route to the left of the leisure centre. If you have a pushchair or wheelchair, you may have some difficulties accessing the gym as this pathway involves steps. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Essential maintenance works – 9th Jan to 13th Jan
Between Monday 9th – Friday 13th January 2017, NGA will be closed for work on the utilities to be carried out. The essential maintenance works, unfortunately cannot be avoided as we become a self-sufficient unit due to the closure of the Leisure Centre. There will be no Gfa sessions on these dates. The unforeseen cancellations of these sessions will be reflected in a reduction of fees for the March- May block.
During the first two weeks of January, building work will be taking place to create a new entrance to the Academy through the middle of the Leisure Centre. We are hopeful that the new entrance will be available for use when the gym will re-open on Saturday 14th January 2017, and training will re-commence as per normal.
We shall keep all members posted if the works are to finish any different to planned.
Sunday 15th January
Due to an external booking from British Gymnastics facilitating a tumbling and acro competition; therefore, all sessions on Sunday 15th January 2017 will be cancelled. This was a date listed within the Dec block fees letter and has been included within the reduced fees for this block.
February 2017 closures
Sunday 12th February
Due to an external booking from British Gymnastics facilitating the second Notts Gym Fest; therefore, all sessions on Sunday 12th February 2017 will be cancelled. This was a date listed within the Dec block fees letter and has been included within the reduced fees for this block.
Thank you for your patience during these closures and we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Regards,
Jack Duggan
