Notice to all Gfa adults sessions
Below are some important messages regarding closures for Dec 16 – Feb 17.
Festive spirit
During the last week of term (starting Monday 19th December) the Academy will be getting into the festive spirit, so feel free to bring your Christmas jumpers/ t-shirts, tinsel in their hair or anything else you can come up with (that you can train in safely)!
December 2016 closures
Christmas break – 24th Dec to 4th Jan
NGA will break up for Christmas on Saturday 24th December 2016 and re-open for training from Wednesday 4th January 2017. The last Gfa adult’s session will be Wednesday 21st December 2016 and start again on 16th January 2017.
January 2017 closures
Leisure centre closure – Entering the gym
Wednesday 4th – Sunday 8th January 2017, access to the Academy will be via the outside steps/ pathway route to the left of the leisure centre. If you have a pushchair or wheelchair, you may have some difficulties accessing the gym as this pathway involves steps. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Essential maintenance works – 9th Jan to 13th Jan
Monday 9th – Friday 13th January 2017, NGA will be closed for work on the utilities to be carried out. The essential maintenance works, unfortunately cannot be avoided as we become a self-sufficient unit due to the closure of the Leisure Centre. There will be no Gfa adult’s sessions on these dates.
During the first two weeks of January, building work will be taking place to create a new entrance to the Academy through the middle of the Leisure Centre. We are hopeful that the new entrance will be available for use when the gym will re-open on Saturday 14th January 2017, and training will re-commence as per normal.
We shall keep all members posted if the works are to finish any different to planned.
Thank you for your patience during these closures and we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Kind regards,
Jack Duggan
Head of Gfa
