Full-time coaching role, Men's Artistic

Notts Gymnastics Academy is dedicated to providing opportunities for all. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our experienced coaching team to work within our highly regarded Men’s Artistic Discipline. The role will also include coaching within our Gymnastics For All discipline.

The Men’s Artistic discipline is led by Joshua Champion and Sergey Sizhanov, two highly experienced coaches who have built a strong team within the academy. With current achievements from development age groups through to junior and senior international level, we are looking for a candidate who can build upon our strong team and ensure we strive towards further success in the future.

Our Gymnastics For All discipline offers a wide variety of activities, programmes, events and competitions suitable for all genders, age groups and abilities. This is a successful and highly regarded discipline within Notts Gymnastics Academy.

The post is an ideal opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to join this successful club and further their coaching career.

Level 2 Gymnastics Coach

General Gymnastics Coach GFA (Level 2 +)

Department/Location:

Notts Gymnastics Academy, Boundary Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7BY

Reports to:

Head of Gymnastics for All

Hours of work:

Varied throughout the week. Will include weekends.

Salary Range:

Rates vary depending on qualification and experience.

About Notts Gymnastics Academy:

NGA has a proud history of providing opportunities for every gymnast to reach their potential at various levels within the sport.

NGA caters for a wide range of gymnastics abilities and ages with classes running from preschool and Gymnastics For All through to elite level in both Men’s and Women’s elite artistic.

The Academy also has an inclusive programme for those with additional or specific needs, popular adults and university sessions and regularly runs additional events such as parties, holiday camps, and taster sessions.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and committed gymnastics coach to join our excellent coaching team, who can feel proud of our ethos of striving to Be Our Best.

Our new team member will coach primarily within our GFA sessions. You will contribute to delivering quality sessions, and enable our members to benefit from taking part in gymnastics. You will help them to: develop physcially through learning fundamental movement skills, learn discipline, perseverance and resilience, build their self-confidence through their gymnastics achievements, and to make new friendships.

There will also be the opportunity to support with gymnastics parties and holiday camps.

Requirements:

  • BG level 2+ General Gymnastics Coach (MAG and WAG also considered)
  • DBS (support can be given with your online application; however, this must be received before coaching role commences)
  • Safeguarding training
  • First Aid qualification
  • Current British Gymnastics Membership
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK

  • You will demonstrate good coaching practice in line with NGA and British Gymnastics codes of conduct
  • You will be enthusiastic, motivated, professional, and reliable. You must be able to work independently, use initiative, have a mature attitude, and be a team player
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both in your coaching and with our parents and staff
