Gymnastics opens many doors. The spectrum of skills developed in gymnastics is so broad that it is a fantastic foundation for any type of sport or exercise. In addition, the mental skills taught in gymnastics can be used to succeed throughout life. Gymnastics develops passion as well as helping create a well-balanced, fit, healthy & happy individual who will be well equipped to face life’s challenges. Gymnastics for All begins with movement sessions for babies, toddlers and children with and without their parents. We offer an introduction to gymnastics through play. Your child will learn to swing on a bar, hang on the rings, roll in different ways, bounce on the trampoline, use a spring board and walk on a beam. Their balance, co-ordination, physical development and social interaction will improve. We hope to increase self confidence, try new things and achieve goals. Children also work towards proficiency pre-school badges.

Welcome to Notts Gymnastics Academy, we hope your child will enjoy their gymnastics session. Whilst at our academy we ask you to abide by a few rules to ensure the safety and smooth running of classes for all members.

1. Please arrive NO MORE than 5 minutes before your child's class and wait OUTSIDE the gymnasium until the coach instructs you to enter, this is so not to disrupt classes in progress.

2. Please dress your children Appropriately for gymnastics (NO jewellery, jeans or skirts), long hair must be tied back.

3. Please bring the correct change to pay for ALL gymnastics sessions.

4. Where possible ensure your child has been to the toilet to prevent class disruption.

5. Please arrive promptly to collect your child at the end of their class, to allow a smooth transition to the next class taking place. We MUST BE able to hand your child to you.

6. At the end of the session DO NOT enter the gymnasium until the coach indicates to you to do so, this is to prevent young children running towards parents following their class.

7. NO parents are allowed to remain in the gymnasiums during classes, unless asked to do so by the coach in charge. Please feel free to watch through the glass doors or relax in the cafe.

8. In line with British Gymnastics policy, NO PHOTOS are allowed to be taken in the gym, unless specified at an organised event or competition.

FEE PAYMENT

1. The fees are payable prior to the start of the block and should be made directly into our account, using your BG membership number, your childs name and group as the reference. The easiest way to do this is by setting up a standing order with your bank. If for any reason you are unable to do this you should contact the office This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

2. The Academy does operate a hardship scheme, where if you are unable to pay your child’s fees, we may be able to assist you. To apply for hardship, you must send a letter or email to your head coach in the strictest confidence.

3. If gymnasts in the competitive squads (acro, boys, and girls) have any siblings in the gym, the child of the lesser price will recieve a discount (one sibling only). Please speak to your coach for details.

4. If you have any questions, concerns or problems with paying fees please contact our finance department on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

5. Every September, the Academy will require you to pay your child’s British Gymnastics Membership and (for competitive gymnasts) affiliation to the County and Region. The cost of affiliation to BGA changes every year and you will be informed of the amount at the end of August / beginning of September. If you join part way through the year, unfortunately it cannot be calculated on a pro-rata basis.  If you are already a member of another club we will need to file a transfer form with British Gymnastics. Please let your coaches know if we need to do this and we will provide a form.

6. If you are booked on to Pre-School or GFA and do not attend for 3 weeks without explanation your space will be given up (where term fees have not been paid).
